i am almost on my way to london, where i will take part in the bicultural literature conference, held at the institut francais, marking its hundreth anniversary.
will be fun, and also quite some sudden exposure to weather that actually fits the season (as seen through austrian eyes).
the bob dylan conference in may 2011 is coming along just fine, with quite a few great names from within the inner circle of dylan studies. and a great program around the main academic conference is already forming, too. keep your fingers crossed that i will be getting all the funding necessary to make this a truly remarkable event...
weather is still incredible here - was sunbathing on mount scopus yesterday. the weekend also led me to the cinemateque here in jerusalem - an austrian/german production, "mahler auf der couch". markovics played a very convincing freud, and the movie is a good one, but the psychoanalysis parts weren't that well written, if not slightly bogus. but still.
the director was there for a q/a, so that was good, too.
will go down to old jerusalem today, the first time for quite a while now.
talk to you soon!
ps: all the best to latvia, whoever you are...!
